Mexican Vanilla Orchids

Mexican Vanilla

It is believed  with in locals of the Totonacapan area, in Veracruz, Mexico, that the curing process is a tradition that has been around for over 600 years.

Vanilla Orchids blooms at Spring time, each flower is special, it opens just once and if is not pollinate will day the very next day.

It has beautiful green, white and yellow tones, it is very tiny and delicate, it has no aroma and the pollen can produce an allergy reaction to the human skin.

Vanilla is a climber orchid, usually loves orange trees for the hight and perfect light that the orange tree leaves provide.

Vanilla Orchid is one of the most beautiful flowers I have seen and it is so inspiring and rewarding to learn a little bit of this complex tradition.

If you are like Vanilla as I do, I recommend you to keep checking my Blog, new information and recipes are coming...
